Kenmore Washer

After my last washer started leaking after many years (we always had Kenmore) I have purchased another Kenmore in Feb 2016. After 2 month, I had to add an item and found that the water accumulated was ice cold, even though the setting was on WARM. The salesman did tell me that it had a sensor and that it might feel "cooler that what I am used to" (I thought that was stupid, either it is warm or cool). I thought it was still going to be warm, just not as warm as what I am used to, and thought I could live with that. But I certainly did not want my laundry to be washed ice cold!!!! The dial shows choices: cold, cool lights, cool darks, warm, hot....but it really has only ICE COLD and HOT water running in.Unfortunately one can not find out about that before it is in the house, when one is using it. I ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS WASHER!! and just want a simple top load so I can wash in WARM water!!!!!

I suggest contacting the vendor to see if they will exchange it for you. If not since its in warranty call CS@ to come & check the unit for the cold water problem.

I hope this is helpful to you!

The previous answer is hard to follow. As Kenmore products are sold only by Sears, the "vendor" and "CS" [Customer Service] are the same. To get a handle on the problem (and maybe fix it) see http://bit.ly/1rNMWA6 or (if that doesn't solve) http://bit.ly/1rNNhTk. In any case you can use your Sears warranty. Call Sears at 800-427-3049 or 847-289-2500 or 800-549-4505.
