Bluetooth Pairing With Laptop

i tried to pair my jabra clipper to my laptop using the traditional add devices on my control panel, it was of no use since my laptop couldnt detect any bluetooth device, i then tried using the software built in with my toshiba laptop and paired the device. I could hear the music played from the laptop on the headset but the mic on the jabra clipper didnt work. The mic however worked when paired with a mobile.

In Bluetooth, there are different "profiles," or different ways to pair devices, each with a unique language. You have to be sure that the device that brings Bluetooth into the PC supports these profiles.

For streaming stereo audio, the profile is called "A2DP," or Advanced Audio Distribution Profile. For telephony communications, the device would need to support "HSP" (Headset Profile) and/or "HFP" (Hands Free Profile). Refer to the PC manual or manufacturer for these details.
