Tv Won't Keep Signal. Shuts On And Off Every 10 Seconds.

I've had my TV for 18 months and it is hooked to an outside channel. I want only one channel on it. Suddenly the channel won't "stay on." It "blinks on and off every 3 to 10 seconds and has kept it up for over an hour when I turn it on until I can't stand to watch it that way. It will come on for 3 seconds and off 7 to 10 seconds and repeats this over and over. All other stations work fine, only the ONE station I watch. There was nothing changed about my antennae that I am aware of. Twice the TV did stop blinking on and off and stayed on but then I had no control use such as volume, channels, etc. Can anyone tell me where to even start looking for help?

I've had the same problem, and you're not going to believe this, but here goes.

I slapped the top of the TV, firmly, (on the right-hand side) and the problem stopped, been over a year since I've had the problem. I think it is (was) a poor solder connection.
