Channel Scan
Just set up my tv. It's connected by an HDMI cable to a cable box. The prompt keeps telling me to run an auto channel scan. I keep doing what the prompts tell me, but nothing is happening. I still have a blank screen. What should I do?

You did not tell me the make/model of your cable box, so now I have to shoot in the dark. Hook up a standard RF cable to both units (leave the HDMI connected). Scan for channels (you can't see channel scan in HDMI, only in RF) after scan, TV will change to higher quality HDMI by default.
