Problem With Low Power In Reverse.

I have a brand new husqvarna 42XLS, bought today. The first cut has gone well, but it seems to have very little power in reverse. With the throttle at full and the reverse pedal pressed all the way down, it stops when it comes to the slightest incline or bump. The mower blades are not engaged. Certainly I will call the dealer on Monday to ask him, but I found this site and wondered if anyone had any advice. Thanks in advance
