My Hitachi P50t501 Dims When It Thinks There Is No Screen Activity

My Hitachi p50t501 dims when it thinks there is no screen activity. In many xbox 360 games, or when browsing menues in Xbox Live, even though I'm clearly active the screen seems to go into screensaver or low power mode. Is there a way to deactivate this so I don't have to turn the tv off then back on to restore the brightness?
