4 gallons is the fuel tank. This is from another website.

This unit comes with 8-ounces of SAE5W50 synthetic oil and an oil dipstick. The Hitachi EC119SA 15-Amp Portable 4-Gallon Twin Stack Air Compressor is ...

So one would assume 8 ounces is the correct amount but they state that you drain and then refill to the line on the dipstick without specifying the amount of oil.
