My Hpscanjet 8300 Wont Start All The Necessary Voltages Are Ok But It Won't Star

My question is are you using a MAC. Have you upgraded your O/S recently. If you have then it could be the problem with the scanner. Latest versions of MAC OS does not recognise HP scanners, certainly not older ones. Even Windows 10 has a difficult problem with older scanners as there is no Twain support. They want you to use USB for scanners. Sorry if I bear bad news. I have similar issues and use older O/S's to enable me to use these scanners.
