Help With Installation Of Wireless Printer

Just purchased printer & receiving error of "wireless radio not functioning" when installing. Help - I have no idea what this is or how to fix it! Not sure if this can be fixed or if printer should be exchanged.

Hello lorieo65,

It appears you may have plugged the printer into your computer's usb port without installing the printer software from the CD first. However, this is a simple fix. But, a few steps will need to be done first

The following steps MUST be performed in the order given for the connection to properly work between Printer and computer:

The first 2 steps apply if you already connected the printer using the printer (USB) cable and/or inserted the installation CD. Otherwise you can skip and go to step 3:

Remove The Printer: If you have not already done so, turn off your printer and unplug from the computer (printer should remain off until instructed otherwise)
Uninstall Printer Software: If you already used the CD to install the Printer's software, this will need to be uninstalled from your computer (make sure the CD has been removed from the disk tray on your computer) *if needed, Instructions to Uninstall the Printer's Software can be located here
Reboot your computer: Restart your computer to finish removing the software and wait until the system completely finishes starting back up.
Insert the CD: Use the CD to install the Printer's Software package and follow each step accordingly. **Up to this point your printer is still OFF AND NOT CONNECTED TO COMPUTER YET**
Install printer driver and software: Begin installing software from CD as instructed.
Connect printer: When instructed from the CD to do so, connect the printer and continue following the steps.
Establish wireless Connection: When you reach the screen that asks "How would you like to connect your printer?" choose 'Wireless' And continue the steps to completion.
Print test page: If the test page prints you are done and can use your wireless printer now.

Please note: Before a wireless connection can be established you will need tro use the USB cable to install the wireless software first.
