I believe that the problem might be related to the type of paper that you are trying to use. Based on the product specifications provided by Cnet., HP P1006 accepts the following media types and sizes.
Media Types
- Transparencies ,
- Envelopes ,
- Labels ,
- Plain paper ,
- Photo paper
Media Sizes
- A6 (4.13 in x 5.83 in),
- B5 (6.93 in x 9.83 in),
- Legal (8.5 in x 14 in),
