Hp Officejet 6700 Fax Error-not The Correct Phone Cord But Using The One Supplie
Hi, I just set up the printer and also wanted to connect the fax, when doing a fax test the report says I am not using the correct phone cord for fax-however I am using the one which was provided from HP. Can anyone help?

Hi there, thank you for your reply. Not quite sure what you exactly mean with set up, but I went through the fax setuo wizard on the printer as well as the cmputer to set up the header, fax number, ringtones.... but still the same error message.

Greetings - It may be that you have not setup both fax send and fax receiving (this needs to be done prior to test fax). This can be found on your device's user manual. If you do not have a copy of it, you can download it off the internet in pdf at h20000.www2.hp.com. In case you did setup fax (send & receive). Please just try to re-set it up and observe.
