Hp Printer 3050a Series J611
Printer works, but is very slow - often taking more than hour to print one page.
I wondered if the warantee was still available as it was purchased from the West Lafayette (IN) Walmart in May of 2012

I believe that your HP 3050 is still covered with warranty. Most electronics devices are covered with 1 year limited warranty. However, you have to keep in mind that this warranty does not cover intentional damages. The best solution for this is to claim a warranty. Bring the item to the store and show the receipt/warranty card.
