Harman Kardon Hd7525 Remote Control Jacks Connections

I need to know how to turn on my Harman Kardon 7525 with the remote control of the amplifier Harman Kardon 3550. I bought them together and the amplifier has a remote in and remote out control jack system to connect some Harman Kardon products. I follow the instructions in the manual but it does not work.

How do I use the AUX on my Harman Kardon?

Aux Input: connect your source device to the Harman Kardon Aura's Aux In. Press the source button until the led turns off. this indicates that the source input is set to Aux in. Digital Optical Input: connect your digital optical input here.
