How Do We Clean Tubing And Plastic Housing Of Minerals Behind Control Panel.

We want to clean the mineral buildup on the plastic house and around water dispensing tubing, but can't figure out a way to pull out control panel to gain better access. Please help. GE Profile freezer bottom, PFSS9PKY integrated dispense

We should have quantified our request for information saying we have the manual and nowhere in the manual does it indicate how to access the area of the chute or the tubing that is locked into a plastic cover. We also looked on youtube and various other sites, and evidently everybody lets the minerals build up, but there is also other areas that need to be cleaned and short of using q-tips, we still can't reach all those areas.

It's essential that we are able to get the control panel off but there are no screws holding it in and it is not readily evident on how to snap the control panel off...particularly without scratching the stainless steel. Older models hace an escutcheon around that whole area that comes off and then the control panel can be pulled forward but in this particular model there is no surround. It sits flush into the door. We are sure there is a way of snapping that control panel off but again nothing on YouTube nor in the manual indicates how to do this. If anybody has figured out how to get into or remove that water dispenser/ ice chute and water tube hold area, your help would be greatly appreciated.
