Turn off the computer and unplug it from the power outlet.
Remove the screws that secure the bottom cover to the computer. There are a total of 11 screws, 9 along the bottom edge and 2 in the center.
Lift up the bottom cover and set it aside.
The following components are accessible after removing the cover:
Hard drive
Optical drive
RAM slots
CMOS battery
Power supply
To replace any of these components, you will need to follow the instructions in the Gateway SX2802-03 user manual.
When you are finished working on the computer, you can reverse these steps to reassemble it.
