Gateway Nv79 Cmos Battery Location/removal?
I need to remove a Gateway NV79 Laptop CMOS battery and i cannot locate it. I have it taken apart, but don't see the standard CMOS battery. All i see is a little round poetetial battery with a blue shielding. Is that it?

Where is the CMOS battery located in a gateway laptop?
Look for the CMOS battery on the motherboard. It is located in a circular plastic holder and secured in place by a plastic or metal clip. If you have trouble locating the battery, consult your system or motherboard manual.
