Bios Password Needs Cleared On A Gateway Nv53a52u.

I have forgot the BIOS password to my Gateway NV53A52u laptop, so I downloaded the BIOS update for it specifically from Gateway, and ran the update in Windows 7; it ran and then rebooted, and when it came back up the BIOS still has a password, and Windows will not boot up.It will barely start to load Windows, (so it does recognize the HD and O/S to a point) but then reboots back to a menu to Repair or launch normally, but the system will not recognize the DVD player with the original O/S installation or repair disks. It will not recognize the USB drive in this stage either.I created a bootable DOS USB and put the BIOS flash files on it, and after removing the power connector and battery from it, I then removed the HD from the system; put the battery back in; it would then boot to the USB, so I ran the file from it and all seemed well and good, except it still has a password on the BIOS.I put HD back in; battery back in, and turned it back on, only to get the same results.Page 40 of the NV52/NV54/NV56/NV58 Service Guide, also known as the NV53 SERVICEGUIDE, says there is a "gap"/ set of contacts labeled G27, that when shorted and other steps will clear the PW, but this NV53A52u that I have in front of me, is NOT the same machine as is in that manual.I have found some what look very much like un-labeled contact points on the main-board, towards the very front and squarely in-between the HD and WiFi card, but I have yet to try shorting them like the above steps mentioned, and would rather not resort to that, or taking the thing apart to remove the CMOS battery! After the third attempt on the PW screen it does not generate a code to look up, but just locks up.....
