Garmin nuvi 52 LM device are sold as regional devices in US and Canada.
If you've purchased a regional device that is not preloaded with the area you need, there are a couple of ways to gain access to the desired region.
For example, if you purchase a nuvi 200 in the United States then travel into Canada, the device will not automatically have maps of Canada. To gain access to a region that's not preloaded, you can utilize one of the following options:
- Pre-Programmed SD Card - Some maps can be purchased on a preloaded SD memory card. These can be used on multiple devices. Please note that this card cannot be updated by purchasing a map update.
- Downloadable Map - Downloadable maps are another option. Downloaded maps can only be used on one compatible Garmin device. Please note that the downloadable map cannot be updated by purchasing a map update.
