Garmin Map Updates
I have a Nuvi 42 and I need map update. I do not have a home computer, only an I-Pad. I tried to update at library, Staples, and Fed-Ex Office. I was told that maybe I could get Garmin to send me an SD Card. True? Thank you....

The SD card is only applied to if you want to expand your memory to hold maps on your devide. Unfortunately you will need a computer to download updates on this gps because garmin express(The program that you use to download maps) is only compatible with windows, Mac OS, and I believe Linux. IOS does not support it.
