Difference Between Two Motors..

So I am helping a buddy of mine to fix or find out a solution on how to properly drain the brake fluid and to replace it with the new parts. To later put in new fluid after. The reason what brought me here (obviously) haha.As I was reading the owners manual on this site after I searched the model of his truck, which is a 2002 SLS GMC Sonoma. I read in the manual, "if the motor is a "Vortec v6 4400 or an L4 2200"Which includes my second question to gain further knowledge. On his engine, it says SFL 2200.What is the difference between the L4 2200 and SFL 2200?. We are just trying to figure that out before we start on it and possibly ruining the motor.
