Good Morning trevorcoleneuman – Are you certain the error code is E56? Could it possibly be an E5B? If so, E5B typically indicates a heater fault issue. The dryer temperature reading of the control thermistor is not changing in a set amount of time. Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. Wait roughly ten minutes and turn on the dryer. Select a normal cycle and verify if the dryer continues to display the error code. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, then I personally suggest contacting a professional to accurately proceed further.
