Gel Packs Not Working

The detergent dispenser won't open up. The gel packs just melts inside without washing the dishes... Any ideas on why this is happening?

Hello - Generally it is recommended to use a powder or a liquid detergent to use in the wash cycle. The "dissolvable" plastic coating on the gel packs can take longer to dissolve if you are using short, light cycles; which will as you have seen leave the a good portion of the gel pack left un-dissolved.  Also make sure your residence water supply is between 120*-140*F for optimal performance.
