Microwave Guide

We just purchased a new Frigidaire gallery microwave and unfortunately we took the wave guide out not realizng its intent. We ordered a replacement but when we attempted to put in it bent in half. It seems impossible to replace without breaking this piece. I placed a piece of tape on the back end and it is sealed up on the side. Is this good enough or do i need a new guide and if so; how in the world do i install?

Hi chicagofls – Generally speaking, the waveguide simply slides into place behind several tabs. Typically, it should not cause any damage to the waveguide by slightly bending it. Note that if the waveguide is bent too much, it will break and unfortunately a professional is recommended to proceed further.
