Lid Lock Switch

Lid lock switch was broken- it was forced up before it was time. I replaced it with the power off. When I lower the lid and set the dial it just humms. The lock will not engage. Please help

Based on the symptoms you are describing, I recommend checking that the replacement lid lock was installed properly. Double check the wiring and that the lid latch is completely engaging the lid lock. Also, verify that there isn’t any broken wiring between the back of the cabinet to the lid lock. In any event, I would suggest having a service technician take a look at it to be on the safe side. Best regards!
