Theft Light Flashes Continuously

What makes my theft light flash on my dash continuously when my car is turned off, but stops flashing whenever the car is started or running?

It's another way to deter a potential car thief. The idea is to discourage the thief from even attempting to break into your vehicle by warning them of an anti-theft alarm. That's why it only comes on when the vehicle is off. There's no point having it on when you're in the vehicle with it running or when you're driving it down the road!
