Lose Of Power Suspect Catalatytic Converter Stopped Up

I would replace the fuel filter first before replacing the catalytic converter. A clogged fuel filter can make your car lose power, due to restricted fuel flow to the injectors.

The fuel filter should be under the car along the driver's side frame rail. It's just a small metal canister attached to the fuel line.

Not hard to replace, but disconnect the negative battery cable before attempting to remove it. Pulling the fuel pump relay fuse and cranking the engine a couple of times is a good idea as well. That will relieve most of the fuel pressure in the lines, which will keep the leaking fuel to a minimum.
