Loosing Power And Rattling A Lot. Could It Be The Catalytic Converter?

Theres an easy way to find out. Put your hand over the tailpipe to get a feel for how much exhaust is being pushed out. Then get under the car with a hammer and whack it a few times and then check the tailpipe again. If you feel more exhaust flow, you know you are on the right track.
