I Never Get The Confirmation Number To Establish An Account. Nothing In Junk..

I have been unsuccessful establishing a FB account. I get to the memo telling me to check my email for a link giving me a confirmation number.I have checked my mail, junk, receive nothing. Please help me by a detailed explaination. I am not that computer savvy.
