Deleting A Facebook Account

I created a Facebook account a couple of years ago andforgot about it. I just recently created another account, but used a different name and email . I now want to delete the older account. I can deactivate it, but each time I log into facebookm, the older account pop up. What can I do.jj

Hi!

It's not gonna be easy. Ill try to make it simple for you to understand.

Let's talk only about your old account and how to delete it.

First of all, verify if you can still access your Facebook account by trying to log in with the username and password.

If you can not log in, then, what you need to do is to request for new password. Go to this link: https://www.facebook.com/recover.php (click this link).

You can follow the procedure here when requesting to reset your password

The problem is if you can still access your email account, cause you will need to access this to get the security code sent to your account. If you can not, then try to click the "Forgot Password" link of your email account to access this again.

If by following the above procedure and leads you to access your old Facebok account again, you can now try the procedure below to delete your Facebook account.

1. Go to http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=delete_account (click this link)

2. If it prompts you to log-in, do it.

3. When "Delete My Account" page appears, press the "Delete My Account" button.

4. A new page will appear to confirm your password, then type in the box the two captcha words before hitting the "Okay" button.
