If I Delete Olld Facebook Account, Can I Use The Same Email Add To A New Account

I want to delete an old facebook account and make a new one. But I want to use to use the same email add I used from the old account. If I delete the it (old account) permanently, is it possible to use the same email address I used before? Thanks!

Major distinction to watch out for is to make sure your account is deleted and not deactivated. And also, that you change your email address before deleting or there seems to be a two week waiting period before signing up again.
