Installing New Ink Cartridges

I need help to install replacement cartridges on the Workforce 435. The cartridge hold is not in a open space. How do I get it to move to a position where I can install the new ink? Thanks. Jeff

With the printer powered on you have to open the scanner unit, not the flatbed on the top of the unit. Don't try to open both the scanner flatbed and the scanner unit itself at the same time. Once you do this , the printer should move the catridge cover to the opening. Of course the printer should still be on. You should be able to open the catridge cover at this time because it will line up with the opening. Don't move the catridge holder by hand or you may damage the printer.

Remember when installing the new ink, you should remove the yellow tape.

Press the set up button. Arrow down to "maintenance". Press ok. Scroll down to "replace cartridge" and press ok. It will allign so and the cartridge will move so you can open the unit to the ink.
