The Drivers Cannot Be The Problem. It Is When I'm Running The Install Program
that I get the message "the app cannot run on this computer".

You have likely installed the incorrect driver (ie 32 bit for a 64 bit Operating system), which would download ok, but when you try to install the printer with the wrong driver for your operating system would create an error.
Or, you connected the printer with your device before instructed to do this.
Either way, the printer and it's driver will need to be completely removed from your device in order to begin with a 'fresh' install.
The steps should be done in order:
But, before you continue, please double check the Operating System you have, including whether it is 32-bit or 64-bit.
- First, please completely unplug the printer from BOTH computer/laptop and the Printer itself. (data cable and power cord)
- Go to the Printers folder in the Control Panel and remove any driver for this printer model that may already be installed on your computer/laptop.
- Then Reboot your system. Leave printer off to the side for now.
- Next is to download the Printer's Driver from the Epson Website. The driver for your printer can be accessed here.
Once at the Epson website:
- Choose your operating system from the dropdown menu on the screen. This will display the driver download(s) available for your system.
- Expand the title "Driver" and click on download to begin.
- Once complete, the installation of the driver should begin automatically
- Follow the prompts to completion.
NOTE: To avoid the printer from installing incorrectly, it should remain to the side and disconnected until instructed to do so during the installation/set-up process.
