How Do I Clear An Error Message?
My printer is an Epson Stylus CX9400Fax. After installing new cartridges and having to do many runs for the nozzle cleaning it just about came out perfect then on the next run I received an error message ‘Cannot recognize ink cartridges’. It won’t recognize the Magenta, Yellow or Cyan. I put in an old used set of OEM cartridges and I get the same error. I cleaned the contacts on the cartridges and printer and still have the same error.

The ink cartridges that you installed may not be compatible with your Epson CX9400Fax. Make sure that the ink cartridges are compatible with the printer by checking it. If this is not the issue, it might be related to a hardware problem that requires repair. Also, please avoid refilling the ink cartridges because these are disposables. Read the manual to learn how to install the ink cartridges properly.
