Good Morning Gniesanm,

I see that you are having trouble with your Electrolux dryer, model# EIED55HIW, not stopping the cycle when the door is opened. There could be a couple different things that might be causing this. First it could possibly be something to do with the latching mechanism not recognizing that the door is open. Secondly, it could possibly have to do with the control board. I suggest giving your dryer a hard reset, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at the circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. When you have restored power try running any cycle. If when you open the door, the dryer is still running, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician. They will be able to better determine what the cause of your dryer not stopping is. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-
