Resetting 'af'?

I've replaced the filter, and tried pressing the "-" and ON/OFF buttons at the same time, holding for 3 seconds. This the instruction in the owners manual. It will not reset. The "loc" button blinks when I press the other two buttons. I'm assuming this means that the control panel is locked? Should the control panel be unlocked prior to pressing the "-" and "on/off" button? If yes, hos is that done?Bill Bath

Press and hold the mute sounds key for three
(3) seconds to enable control lock, which
prevents undesired changes to the unit settings.
Temperature display will show "LOC".
