18000btu Burner High/low Flame..no In Between

I have a E36DF76GPS Electrolux range with on burner that's 18000btu and knob has so much 'play' that there really is no setting for a medium flame...only High...and various levels of low. Bay Area Appliance said..'that's just the way it is'...not sure if I believe them

Is that the only knob with this much play? You could be missing a little rubber washer that helps to keep the knob from wobbling or having too much space in between it. You also could have a stripped knob that is rotating too much on the switch. Let me know what you find on the other knobs. I'll help as much as I can.
