Hi there! My name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media department with DISH. It is my pleasure to assist you today. Your receiver performs a nightly update every night, which updates its guide and software. After this update is performed the receiver powers off completely until you power it back on. When you go to turn the TV on in the morning or after the update, what you will see on the screen, is our screen saver which says 'Press Select to watch TV' once you press 'Select' the Starting Up message will appear on the screen and then programming.
