Remote Won't Change Channels

The remote let's me turn the tv on and off, controls the volume fine, but won't let me change channels ao I am stuck on only one channel. I press SAT button like I always did to be able to change channels but now nothing is happening when I do that. It is extremely frustrating.

Hello, my name is Daniel Busa with Dish Network customer service. Your remote probably just needs readdressed, but we need the receiver model number. Look on the lower left hand corner on the face of the box you should see a three digit number.

Hey there, this is Cheri Torres with DISH Network customer service. I came across your issue and wanted to see if I could help. There are a few trouble shooting steps you can run through in order to get your remote readdressed to your DISH Network receiver box. I hope these instructions help you with this issue. Go to System Info screen. You can get into the system info screen by pressing the system info button on the front of your DISH Network receiver box. Another option to enter this screen is by pressing the power button on the front of the DISH receiver once, then the up arrow once. If both of these options fail you can also open the little door on the front left side of the receiver and pull out the smart card.
Once you get into the system info, there should be remote addresses at the bottom. Primary remote address is for TV1 and secondary remote adress is for TV2.
Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote. (make sure you choose a number different from what is listed in the white box).
Press the pound (#) button
Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record three times.
Note: If successful the number selected in step 3 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.
