When I Turn On The Tv It Say To Connect To A Phone Line. I Am Connected

I am connected to a phone line but the reciever isn't reconizing that

Hi, this is Alicia Brink. I'm with DISH Network. I know that this was some time ago but I wanted to respond in case other customer have the same concern. If you are getting that message it does mean that the receiver is not showing connected to the phone line or Ethernet cable. You want to check all connection and run a test in the menu. If you are still having trouble please let us know.

I went to Dish Menu/System/diagnostics and tested connection, it gave a broadband and phone connection failure message. we changed phone cord, plugged the cord into wall jack directly with no adapter, rebooted system and when it started again the system recognized the phone jack. (easiest way to reboot is to disconnect dish box in the back, wait 25 sec and replug. I sure hope this helps the next person who comes through here.
