Hi it seems you are having a problem accessing the interactive features on your reciever. These features are available when you have connected your receiver to a phone line or on VIP HD receivers a broadband. If your receiver is connected then with your remote, press "Menu-6-3, it will take you to a diagnostic screen. then select on connection and see if the receiver can recognize your phone line.
