To be able to access Dish On Demand, your receiver needs to be connected to either a telephone line or a broadband Internet connection. A broadband connection is connected to the ethernet port on the back of the receiver and to your Internet Router. The phone line is connected to the Rj11 port on the back of the receiver or the jack labeled phone. I hope this helps.
