The straight forward approach that many people suggest is simply a step-down transformer. The windings are half the number on the output compared to the input: a ratio of 2:1. So 2 volt in, 1 volt out. The amount of iron and number of turns of copper wire keeping the ratio would decide the amount of current that can be supported. Using a resistive load, a 1000W (the amount of WORK to be done) load would require over 8.3 amps at 120VAC. I would round it off to 10 to be on the safe side. That means the input would have to handle 5 Amps at 240 VAC. We're keeping that ratio. The specs for a similar unit to the one you have shows the power consumption of 710W at 120VAC at full blast and 0.1W idling. If your system is similar, we're looking at 3 Amps at 240 or 6 Amps at 120. A 1000W transformer with a 2:1 ratio would do the trick.
Someone mentioned unplugging the transformer when not in use to prevent a blown fuse. That isn't true. That fuse blew for a different reason. You can keep it plugged in. Your Amplifier is most likely always on even when turned off.
On a band trip to England (our home was Toronto), I needed to source a step-down transformer to power my electric bass and my buddies keyboard. I simply took a 1:2 ratio transformer and used the output as the input. That got me the 120VAC. Of course, I matched the power.
