Brightness And Volume Buttons Not Working.

I have a dell inspirion one 2320 desktop computer. I formated it completely and installed the drivers from the cd that came with the computer. But now the buttons on the side both the volume and brightness control doesn't work or respond at all. I reset the bios f2 and f9 on restart and f10 to save setting but it didn't work either. Any help will be very much appreciated.   Running windows 7 ultimate. Thanks.
