Hi 8 Beeps On Dell Inspiron N5110

hi my question is for a Friend of mine that dropped  his laptop well the laptop  fell and now has the 8 beep error code(video write/read problem ) witch makes me think that the video card needs to replaced is this possible this computer does not work with a external screen :( also do u know if the video card is removable or soldiered on i do not know as i have not seen the laptop in person

It does work with an external screen. 

8 beeps is for a display error.
