Connecting Wireless Devices To Our Home Wifi

We have wireless set up at home through D-Link and I connected my laptop with no problem, but can not get our cell phone to connect or a media tablet. The network shows upin the list of available wi fi connections, but when I go to enter the password it says it is an incorrect password. Plus it shows the signal strength as "fair" when on my laptop it is full strength. I know the password is correct so why will it not accept it?
