Yes, there is a way to release the drive on your Cub Cadet ZT1 42E electric zero-turn mower so that you can roll it when the engine is not running. Here's how to do it:
  1. Make sure the mower is turned off and the key is removed from the ignition.
  2. Locate the bypass valves on the back of the mower. These are typically located on the transmission, near the rear wheels.
  3. Turn both bypass valves counterclockwise to release the drive. This will allow the mower to be pushed or rolled manually.
  4. When you are ready to engage the drive again, turn the bypass valves clockwise until they are snug.

Note that when the drive is released, the mower will not be able to move on its own, even if the engine is running. Therefore, it is important to engage the drive again before attempting to mow or operate the mower.

If you are unsure about how to release or engage the drive on your specific model of Cub Cadet ZT1 42E, consult the owner's manual or contact the manufacturer for further assistance.
