If you are using MS Internet Explorer, go to the "TOOLS" bar and click on "Compatibility View" then add craigslist.org to the list of websites. I found that when I wanted to edit my listing again, the same thing happened even though craigslist.org was on the list. So I UNchecked "Compatibilty View" and... ta-da! The scrambled words and box appeared again and I was able to edit. So try both ways if one isn't working.
