Favorites Randomly Change Or Disappear. What Is Happening?

The first time it happened was about a week ago. Most of the time craigslist just stays open in my tabs but it was closed this time. (I am remodeling so am searching often) When I opened it, it was showing 3 favorites. I knew I had over 20 items marked and not that many would have expired. Usually I open craigslist by just starting to type it in the address bar and the browser automatically connects me to my region. I figured out that if I go to the main craigslist page and then manually pick my state and region then my original favorites show up. What is really weird is when this happens- up in the corner 23 posts are marked as favorites and I decide to check something in a different category. Suddenly up in the corner it will say I have only 1 favorite. If I hit the back button my 23 favorites are still there. If I click on one of them and then search in the same category the favorites hold but as soon as I hit the little CL circle at the top left to bring me back to the main page for my region and then pick a new category I'm back to 1 favorite. Any ideas?
