Lien Release

How do you get these stupid people to release a lien on my property that was paid off over 5 yrs ago ? They gave me a list of crap they require & then told it would take a minium of 21 business days. This was suppose to be done 5 yrs ago.

Cancellation to the Deed was probably sent out to the subject county with incorrect reference, sent out to the wrong county or never sent out at all by the lien holder at the time

Simple way for you would be to contact the whoever that should have paid off your loan (ie closing attorney, title company, or escrow company) to clear the issue(have them request a new cancellation)

Or if you are trying to refinance or trying to sell your property, then you could ask current closing attorney to handle it for you. This option might cost you.

Or you could do it yourself by faxing in simple letter of explanation showing your name, account number along with the title work that shows that subject loan is open of the record and fax it to their Lien release department.

It's not the bank's fault, it's the fault of the lienholder. Contact those people and ask them to release the lien, as they should have done when it was paid off.
