Why Does The Hatch Open When I Turn Ignition Key In 2004 Malibu Maxx?

I've been having trouble with key fobs and recently tried coating the carbon buttons with silver glue from radio shack. The silver came off the buttons, I cleaned everything up and put back together. I've been driving the car without a key fob, and the hatch now sometimes opens when I put in the ignition key, turn the ignition key, or remove the ignition key. Coincidence? What is going on? Also, there is some electrical connection to the driver's door that is not right for the last six months. When the driver's door is opened, the dome light won't go on. The key fob locks and unlocks three doors, but not the driver's door. Also, when I unlock all the doors from the driver's console, the alarm sounds when any of the other doors are opened. I'm guessing that the car does not sense that the driver's door was unlocked with a key, so it assumes someone is breaking into the car. Might this be related to the trunk opening, or is it likely there is more than one issue?
